Teamwork makes the dream work.
I married in to a Black American family, ten years ago.
My wife, of course, is my constant companion, and closest ally.
But if we need some help from somebody else,
we get it from her Black family, not my white family.
I keep thinking, that the biggest advance America could make, would be,
integration.
Very complete integration.
Everybody feels that equality is the right thing,
but folks must be mixed and mingled, not separated,
to gain equality.
Separating Black folks from white folks, makes it certain, that there will not be equality.
Everyone must mix and mingle.
seems to me.
I recently bought the book,
“Where Do We Go From Here
Chaos or Community?”
This was the last book by Martin Luther King, Jr.,
written in 1967.
on page 8:
The personal torment of discrimination cannot be measured on a numerical scale, but the grim evidence of its hold on white Americans is revealed in polls that indicate that 88 percent of them would object if their teenage child dated a Negro. Almost 80 percent would mind it if a close friend or relative married a Negro, and 50 percent would not want a Negro as a neighbor.
Those numbers are from a Newsweek Survey — Harris Poll, August 22, 1966.

There is breakdowns of different categories of Americans.
Those in my age group, 65 years and older...….I will let you look it up.
Here is the last line of the article:
Among whites, 17% of Republicans and 8% of Democrats say they would oppose an intermarriage in their family.
Much better, but, still…..
So, why am I pointing all this out, in a prepper diary?
Because, it seems to me, if you are a sensible prepper,
you need to assemble a prepper team,
including those inside your home, for sure,
and some folks outside your home, if possible.
Looking at it the way you look at an action movie, with an ensemble cast,
white, Black, Latinx, Asian, Indigenous, men, women, LGBTQ;
in the movie, each one brings important skills to the team.
Maybe the real world might be somewhat like those movies.
